Syntegra Consulting have conducted an LED feasibility survey and feasibility report for a mixed use development consisting of 90 residential flats , gymnasium and car parking facilities in Vauxhall, London.
The high cost of running the car-parking lights can be reduced by 73% to a yearly electricity cost of £1363 if they are converted to take LED lamps. The findings indicate that to do this conversion (including emergency lights) the outlay would be paid back in energy savings alone after 1.62 years.
As well as offering huge savings on electricity consumption, the LED lamps will offer an increased light output plus a more daylight colour temperature that will enhance security and light levels.
