With about 5,000 2-metre high panels, the PV power plant is intended to generate 1.34 million kWh each year.
The introduction of feed-in tariffs in April 2010 in the UK has attracted Renewable Energy developers to invest in solar power.
The first PV power plant in Cornwall has been given the green light. The PV plant will consist of 5,000, 2meter high PV panels. The plant will produce around 1.34 million kWh per year.
Cornwall Council has estimated that solar power developments could bring up to £1 billion in investment into England’s largely rural southwestern county.
It seems that Cornwall will become the land of PV in the UK as more and more developers will invest in PV farms.
