The Energy Technologies Institute (ETI), a public private partnership is driving the development of green technologies in the UK to meet its 2050 carbon reduction targets. It has started a 2 year project to identify ways in which refurbishment and retrofitting of existing residential properties can be accelerated by industrialising the processes of design, supply and implementation, while stimulating demand from householders by exploiting additional opportunities that come with extensive building refurbishment.
Furthermore, the Building Centre has produced a Green Building Guide to the best environmental choices for building in an eco-friendly way. It contains information on everything from recylced materials to natural energy products.
Th UK Green Building Council (of which Syntegra Consulting is an active member), has published an independent report of its recent consultation with members, which contains a number of recommendations on the future of BREEAM, BRE Global has supported the consultation process and has committed to consider and respond to the points raised.
