Syntegra Consulting has been commissioned by Peek Traffic to undertake an Air Conditioning Inspection for Unit 2, Lime Tree Way, Hazelwood, Chineham Business Park, Chineham, Basingtoke, RG24 8WZ.
The undertaking of an ACI (Air Conditioning Inspection) is a legal requirement according to article 9 of the Energy Performance Building Directive in England and Wales. Air Conditioning Inspections are mandatory for all buildings with installed systems with rated cooling output greater than 12kW.
The AC inspections aim to provide information and advice to building owners and managers regarding the energy efficiency of the system.
Peek Traffic (Basingstoke office) is a 2 storey office building with an installed rated cooling capacity of 94kW.Therefore; an ACI had to been undertaken. The air conditioning inspection consists of a site inspection and the production of a report, which presents the site inspection findings and the recommendations for improving the system’s energy efficiency in order to save energy and reduce carbon emissions. Also 2 No,10Kw Daikin Split systems are installed in the server room but these units are not for comfort cooling so hasn’t been included in the air conditioning inspection report or survey. The inspection and report are undertaken and produced respectively by an accredited air conditioning assessor. The report is lodged on the Landmark National Register and is valid for 5 years since the day it was lodged. Hence, an ACI needs to be undertaken every 5 years from the day of the previous ACI report lodgment.
