Syntegra Consulting Ltd has been appointed as energy consultants to produce an energy strategy for the scheme at 44a Holland Park, London, W11 3RP– to support the scheme design process, demonstrate Building regulations Part L1B compliance, along with intent to deliver a minimum BREEAM ‘domestic’ refurbishment –‘very good’ rated dwelling. The existing dwelling is a two storey detached house. The proposed development is to extend the existing basement floor to garden by approximate 72% of garden area.
Syntegra Consulting will provide their expert and professional advice and compile an energy strategy report on the project. The report will consist of justification calculations and overview detailing what LZC and renewable have been reviewed for the both scheme(s) and how the RBKC LA energy and Sustainability UDP Planning conditions will be met in terms of renewable/LZC and building services design.
The report will also cover detailed information on the following sections:
- 1No. x BREEAM domestic refurbishment pre-assessment
- U-Value consultancy and top-level M&E/renewable design advice will be included.
- Sustainability and Energy Statement demonstrating that the applications include the consideration of all renewable energy technology / energy efficient measures, details what is proposed and, where these are not proposed and where these are not proposed, why these have been discounted as inappropriate / unfeasible.
- SAP assessment compliance checks based on proposed scheme U-values and other services based design recommendations/assumptions. A series of SAP assessments will need to be run to assist in the evaluation overview justifying building regs compliance.
- Indicative CAPEX, ROI and payback periods will be stated within the report and any potential income streams via the FIT & RHI will be identified.
