Syntegra Consulting Ltd has been appointed as energy consultants to produce an energy strategy for the extension of 3No residential flats- to support the scheme design process, demonstrate Building regulations Part L compliance, intent to design to target Code level 3 standard (for the 3No flats).
The Coronation Cottages development is a 2-storey 5No bedroom house. The proposed development will consist of the construction of 2 storey side and rear extensions to communal lounge and office building to form 3 new flats and enlargement of communal facilities and wardens flat (after demolition of existing ground floor office). The project is located in Northern Parade, Portmouth PO2 9LZ.
Syntegra will offer consultancy advice in relation to Building regs U-Values building fabric requirements and renewable/LZC technology options and general M&E strategy options/considerations. Sustainability and Energy Statements will be conducted demonstrating that the applications include the consideration of all renewable energy technology / energy efficient measures. SAP assessment compliance checks, will be provided based on proposed scheme U-values and other services based design recommendations/assumptions. A series of SAP assessments will need to be run to assist in the evaluation overview justifying building regs compliance.
Syntegra Consulting were involved in producing daylight factor (DF) calculations for the Coronation Cottages residential development were performed in order to calculate the average daily factors (Average DF) and the % of the working plane that receives direct sunlight.
