Syntegra Consulting has been appointed to conduct a BREEAM domestic refurbishment pre-assessment and energy strategy report for 133-135 Kew Road; close to the busy heart of Richmond upon Thames. The property is within a three storey end-terrace building and is being converted from an office space to a two bedroom flat above a prestigious health and beauty clinic. In line with the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames Local Development Framework, the proposed conversion must achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’.
As part of the refurbishment the property was modernised with double-glazed window, 100% energy efficient lighting as well as the option to install either an energy efficient combi-boiler or air source heat pump and thermal store installation. With the addition of a combi-boiler, the property will reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by over 50%, achieving and even surpassing local and national requirements.
We are delighted to have helped this development achieve such a high improvement in both energy efficiency and sustainability.
