Syntegra Consulting attended on 23rd January the first event organised by Generation 4 Change (G4C) at the University of Reading. The presentation was hosted by Milan Radosaveljvic, Director of Teaching and Learning, School of Construction Management and Engineering at Reading University.
BIM Lounge, a new facility that has opened in 2012, enables students and practitioners to explore, test and utilise specialised Building Information Modelling software and hardware. Immersing students in the real-life BIM-based integrated project environment follows closely the recommendations of the recently published UK Government Construction Strategy and is one of the key benefits that can only be achieved through a dedicated space that houses a mix of specialist BIM software and hardware.
We also had a presentation by Preetam Singh Heeramun, technical manager of Cereno on a new type of real-time communication using new technologies. nuVa is the name of this new system of online communication which delivers the richest and most intuitive virtual collaboration environment for handling complex tasks which involve multiple parties globally. The unique nuVa collaboration experience leads to smarter working, faster innovation and facilitates better decision making for global time-critical projects.
