The energy performance contracting (ENPC) could be defined as a financial mechanism which incorporates energy conservation measures. Furthermore, currently it is an obligation of the UK government to provide guidance to all the organisations that would like to enter into an EnPC. In fact, despite the fact that they have been around in the UK for the last 15 to 20 years only recently they are having a wide diffusion with a more development in the public sector and the intent to extent to the private sector as well. It is estimated that the UK could save £500 million a year adopting an energy performance contracting.
