The Syntegra team has been shortlisted for an architectural industry award for one of its projects.
Consultants worked on the retrofit development of Print Works House in Great Titchfield Street in Fitzrovia, London, providing advice on issues of mechanical and electrical design, acoustics, energy and sustainability ahead of the planning application submission.
The project comprised separate two and three storey rear extensions, alongside further works to the roof creating a luxury duplex penthouse with terrace. The refurbishment works included a new entrance and core, and the creation of a duplex commercial unit across the ground floor and basement, with three new residential apartments on the upper levels.
It has now been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit Awards, organised by The Architects’ Journal, recognising and celebrating design, engineering and construction excellence that prolongs and improves the life of the built environment.
‘With £500 billion likely to be spent over the next three decades on upgrading existing housing, commercial and industrial buildings, retrofits will play a significant part of the future of the construction industry,’ organisers said.
Print Works House features in the Retrofit Housing (Under £5 Million) category.
The ceremony takes place at The Brewery in London on September 13th.
