The Global Goals for Sustainable Development supported by Syntegra

In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 global goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change, says The Global Goals website. ‘Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.’

Employed as we are here at Syntegra with helping organisations implement sustainable energy and built environment solutions, we have decided to formally align each of our business areas to one or more of The Global Goals.
We wanted to lead by example and prove to our clients and would-be customers that we ‘walk the talk’ and are proud to play our own part in protecting the planet and supporting sustainability in all its forms.
While our business doesn’t operate in areas covered by all of the goals, we are more than happy to support the principles of each one and actively follow achievements in reaching those goals.

Alan King, Syntegra Director, said: ‘The nature of our operations means we are very much pulling in the same direction as the Goals. As a company, we felt it was right to identify a specific target within as many of the Goals as possible for our staff to work towards.
‘Everyone here is fully supportive of all the Goals and happy for their roles to be scrutinised in line with the challenging but ultimately worthwhile targets. We’re proud of the difference we try to make every day and it feels good to know our efforts are part of a global action plan.’
