Part G came into force October 2010, and all new homes and conversions are now required to meet new water efficiency targets. This means that Building Control will now be asking for calculations to show that no more than 125 litres of potable water per person, per day are used in all new houses and conversions. In practice this means that developers will now have to consider what types of taps, showers, WC’s, baths and other appliances they will be fitting.
At Syntegra Consulting, our team are highly experienced in completing these calculations for a variety of different specifications. The team has an excellent knowledge of water saving technologies that can assist compliance to Part G and can complete the calculations swiftly. Our bespoke reports are based on “The Water Efficiency Calculator for New Dwellings” – The Government’s national calculation methodology. This provides clear, concise information for both you and Building Control.
A number of measures can be taken to reduce indoor water use. Efficient appliances, grey water and rainwater recycling can also be specified. Furthermore, Syntegra Consulting can suggest solutions and products which are efficient, practical and cost effective.
