Syntegra Consulting Ltd has been appointed as energy consultants to produce an energy strategy for the proposed scheme at RIMA House, Ripple House, Barking, Essex, IG11 0RH to demonstrate compliance with national, regional & local planning policies and the Building Regulations Part L2A compliance for the RIMA House Building. Demonstrate intent to design to a BREEAM “Very Good” and to a minimum 20% reduction of CO2 emissions reduction via renewable energy technology in accordance with planning policy requirements.
The proposed development comprises of a one storey office area and 3No one storey warehouse area, located in an urban area of Barking. Syntegra has offered consultancy advice in relation to Building regs U-Values building fabric requirements and renewable/LZC technology options. Sustainability and Energy Statements were produced demonstrating the applications and consideration of all renewable energy technology / energy efficient measures. An SBEM model has been provided based on proposed scheme U-values and other services based design recommendations/assumptions. An Energy Strategy Report (ESR) and a BREEAM pre-assessment was undertaken demonstrating a target of “Very Good”.
