Dulcote Quarry is a former limestone quarry near Wells on the Mendip Hills, Somerset, England. The quarry covers an area of 20 acres, which is surrounded by 80 acres (32 ha) of woodland.
Planning permission is currently being sought to develop the site into a Food Manufacturing Campus (for Charlie Bingham’s), comprising of 3 staff buildings and 4 industrial food production buildings. The new facility is expected to provide around 300 jobs for the local area over the next 15 years.
The Syntegra Group have been engaged by TSL Projects Ltd. to provide a range of assessment and reports to assist with the development’s planning stage ,then forward into the design interim stage and final Post Construction Review certification.
To date, our consulting division has completed extensive assessment services, including Light Pollution assessment an extended Phase 1 Habitat walkover survey to identify sustainability for protected species, Air Quality assessment, Noise Impact assessments comprised of an Environmental Noise survey and PPG 24 assessment and reporting.
Our team assisted further at the planning stage by providing an Energy Strategy Report, Ventilation & Extract statement and Hydrology assessments for the development.
