- Client: Perkins Engines
- Completion Year: 2017
- Air conditioning energy efficiency
- Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Our consultants were delighted to be chosen to work with an internationally renowned company which prides itself on its sustainability commitments.
Perkins Engines Co Ltd engaged Syntegra to assess its air conditioning units for energy efficiency across its sites in Peterborough.
The company is one of the world’s leading producers of diesel and gas engines for agricultural, construction, industrial, power generation and material handling sectors.
They are committed to sustainable manufacturing processes that minimise both the energy consumed and the waste produce.
Attention is paid to driving out waste at every stage of operations on all the company’s sites with as little energy as possible used, emissions minimised and waste products reused or recycled wherever possible.
Heating, lighting and cooling systems are monitored, with automatic controls turning off power when not required.
‘Sustainability is a part of who we are,’ says the company website. ‘Sustainable manufacturing is efficient manufacturing – and efficiency is good for profitability.’
Having previously carried out TM44 Air Conditioning Surveys on three of their buildings, we were pleased to be invited back to carry out the surveys on all of the buildings on site.
