Syntegra has appointed a new Director of Air Quality to boost company credentials in this key area of business.
Mark Chapman has managed technical and business development for some of the largest teams of specialist air quality consultants in the UK.
A qualified Chartered Environmentalist, Mark provides specialist environmental assessments, such as air quality and odour consultancy, as well as complementary services such as Environmental Permitting.
He has a wide-ranging experience in the management and assessment of air quality related planning and policy issues, that is applied to the delivery of large-scale air quality assessments of regional and national importance.
His core areas of technical expertise relate to supporting clients in the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors to secure planning consent for new developments, as well as input to Environmental Permit Applications and other regulatory compliance projects.
Mark is actively involved in the wider air quality community, contributing to the ongoing development of guidance and policy through his committee roles within the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and Environmental Protection UK (EPUK).
He also has a strong knowledge of complimentary technical disciplines, such as acoustics and transport modelling and is a strong asset to the Syntegra team.
MD Alan King said: ‘We’re very fortunate to have Mark on board with his skills and expertise in this critical area of work. Air quality is, justifiably, coming to the fore of many new initiatives and with Mark leading in this area of work, we are well placed to cement our place as expert service providers to our clients.’
