One Embankment Place is a commercial office building constructed in the early 1990s. Constructed above Charing Cross station, it is the first Air Rights building in the UK.
The current occupier desired a high BREEAM rating as part of their corporate policy and considered this high on the priorities at concept stage, with the BREEAM requirements featuring high on the list next to space planning and cost analysis.
The Syntegra Group provided ChapmanBDSP with detailed Indoor Daylighting Analysis over 10 floors of the building to support the project’s BREEAM goals.
Our consultants produced 3D models for purposes of assessment and the internal daylight calculation for the proposed development. these were then used to optimise internal daylighting aspects of the development in regard to achieving an eventual BREEAM rating of Excellent.
