Overview
Westway Housing Association began life as Grove Housing Association in March 1987. Initially operating only in North Kensington, Westway Housing Association soon expanded into a larger area of Kensington & Chelsea and then into the neighbouring boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing, Barnet, Brent, Westminster and Enfield.
Their vision is to be regarded as one of the best housing associations in the UK, providing a unique and exemplary service to people who are in housing need in the communities we serve. Westway Housing Association currently owns and manages 505 self-contained homes and a 17-bedspace hostel for single people. Their properties are located across seven London boroughs. The vast majority are flats built in the last 15 years.
Objectives
Syntegra Consulting were appointed to undertake a detailed energy and gas audit across their entire property management portfolio for gas and electricity meters under their control and responsibility.
Conclusion
Recommendations concerning energy and gas efficiency were made, complete with a cost benefit analysis to clarify the return on investment. Syntegra Energy Utilities identified and procured a saving in excess of 12.5% on their energy utility consumption across the portfolio.
