Service Overview
Syntegra’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Consultancy Service helps businesses/developers obtain their RHI tariff payments, which for larger buildings/developments – can equal a significant amount per annum.
What is the RHI?
The Renewable Heat Incentive or RHI is a Government backed financial scheme designed to to encourage homes, businesses and other organisations to use renewable heat sources to heat buildings and processes. If your scheme is eligible for the RHI, you will be paid for every kWh of heat you generate using a renewable technology over a period of 20 years. The government (via Ofgem) will pay owners of these systems for each kWh of heat generated according to a set of published tariffs. Systems must be heat metered, and compliant to set industry standards in order attain the RHI payments.
The RHI is available is two schemes:
Non-Domestic RHI – this includes industrial, commercial, not-for-profit organisations, communities and the public sector, as well as district heating schemes (where the heating system serves multiple homes).
Domestic RHI – this includes homeowners, private and social landlords (where the heating system serves a single household), and self-build homes.
How Syntegra can assist
Ofgem have advised that overall 40% of submissions are invalid. We can provide ad-hoc guidance and if part of the scope a full quarterly on-line application service for subsidy funding approval and claims under the RHI scheme. Having a retained RHI consultant can avoid widespread problems with this claim process.
RHI payment protection Insurance cover
Syntegra can provide RHI payment protection Insurance cover for the duration of the 20 year RHI period to ensure a maximum ROI on the system installed. For more information contact us to discuss your scheme further.
